Why is flutherbot offline?

I just made a new account and want to add the IM bot. I’ve tried entering my SN and then adding it to AIM. Flutherbot appeared as offline. I then deleted and entered my Gtalk name, and added flutherbot@fluther.com and it still shows up as offline. What gives? I’m using Adium on OSX btw.

He’s been sick for quite a long time.
As far as I know, they don’t have the time to fix him right now.
But he’s not too important anyway. Welcome to Fluther!

It’s true. We’re aware of the issue and we’ll fix it but right now there are higher priority things commanding our attention.
