Does anyone have a awesome pseudonym for me?

Asked by shpadoinkle_sue (7188points) June 18th, 2010

I’m trying to think of one for a self project and I’m drawing a complete blank. I think this could be fun and I thought I’d ask my fellow jellies if they had any really good ones. If you think of one, could you explain how you thought of it or why you like it. Nothing gross or vulgar, pretty please. Thanks!

Sue Den Em.

I thought of it because you user name is Sue.

What are you using the pseudonym for? It would help to know.

Are you looking for serious sounding names, funny sounding names, business names, artsy names? A little more background info would probably get the ball rolling…

What type of project? And what sort of image or character would you like to project? Funny, flirtatious, mature, bohemian, businesslike, mystical, what? And—should it sound like a real person’s first and last name, or more like a made-up screen name?

In the vein of @Merriment‘s suggestion, Sue Doenihm.

Sorry, sometimes I forget details. I was expecting randomness. :)
To help, some favorites. Classic 30’s and 50’s films, Billy Wilder, and 60’s mustangs.

@Jeruba It’s a personal project I’m looking to start to get myself to be more social and more comfortable with certain aspects of myself. I’m quite timid, especially with sharing my own views and opinions. Which is alright, but I really imagine that I’m a wonderfully different person if I could get past my little paranoias. It’s basically an personal online journal or a blog-type thing. I’m looking for another name to keep it from turning up on a prospective employer’s computer screen. The look will probably be a vintage Vargas type of thing. Fun, a little flirty, classic.

@augustlan Funny names are welcome, artsy names. I do like Sue Den Em or Sue Doenihm. Serious ones are okay, but not really ones I’m looking for.

I’ve never been good at journals or writing things in my head down. It’s a definate work in progress. I don’t know it it’ll work, but I can try.

Use the “porn star name generator” approach—Name of your first pet, Name of the street you lived on as a kid. Like Smokey Seventh, or Milo Glenmary, or Fifi Walhampton

Hmm, not bad, @PandoraBoxx. That would be Pepper Bromfield. Presto! Alter ego.

Cassandra Peskin? Meh.

I can’t remember what my first street was, we moved a lot when I was a kid. My first pet’s name was Skippy, though.

@py_sue didn’t you live on Peanut Butter Lane?
