Is this a symptom of carbon monoxide poisoning?

Asked by Draconess25 (4461points) June 20th, 2010

But I’m breathing just fine. It’s like the oxygen isn’t being absorbed.

I read that this is a symptom of carbon monoxide poisoning?

Right this moment?

If you start having a hard time breathing get help, right away.

@liminal I can breathe just fine. It feels like a panic attack minus the panic. I’m not really that concerned, just curious.

Sounds like asthma.

@Akiora Wouldn’t I have had asthma as a kid?

@Draconess25 No, not always. Especially if it’s a reaction to something that’s changed in your environment. The fact that this is (I’m presuming) your only symptom makes it seem unlikely though, in hindsight.
If I’m in pain, I often get the feeling that I need to breathe more deeply and slowly in order to take in the same amount of air as I usually do. Does it feel something like that? If so, it’s probably just indicative of stress.
Hope it’s nothing serious.

@Akiora Meh, it’s gone now. I don’t feel stressed at all. I was just roleplaying, & yeah….

I would guess asthma, also. I didn’t develop asthma until I was about 17, so you don’t have to have it as a child to be asthmatic.

Look for bright red fingernails. Unless there’s nail polish….

@worriedguy I didn’t bother looking at the time. I’m fine now.
