Do you get ear pimples?

Asked by Laina (429points) June 22nd, 2010

This is kind of embarrassing, but sometimes I have these painful bumps that kind of resemble pimples on the inside of my ear. Have you ever gotten these and how do I make it go away?

Yeah, I think those are pimples. They didn’t really hurt, they were just annoying. I always scratched them out.

I had one. It went away on it’s own after several weeks.

Ooo, I sometimes get those. They are very painful and you can’t really prevent them from happening. However, I sometimes pop them with tweezers. It sounds really gross and it is but it relieves the pressure and they don’t hurt nearly as much.

Thanks everyone :) I’ll see if it’ll go away by itself. several weeks is a long time!

I had them when I was a teenager. I popped one without breaking skin once.

Yeah they’re annoying and can be pretty painful sometimes. I put an alcohol solution on them to attempt to dry it out. With that, they are usually gone within a week or so.

Yep, they’re pesky little things. I’m a self-confessed popper.

I currently have one. I haven’t had one before. It’s sore. And, very annoying.

Yeah, I get them sometimes. Just put iodine on it before sleep and it’ll get better sooner.

Those are localized staph infections. They often go away by themselves, but may sometimes require ear drops to get rid of them.
