Where can I find Unreal Tournament 2004 (Mac) for cheap?

Asked by mhl12 (234points) June 23rd, 2010

I’m trying to find a copy of UT 2004 for Mac OSX for my friend. The cheapest price I can find using Google Products is $28. Ebay isn’t really giving me much as well. The Windows version is $10 on gog.com and $15 on Steam. Does anyone know where I can find the Mac version around those prices? Thanks.

amazon

Edit: nevermind the cheap copy was purchased after I posted the link, looks like the rest are more expensive.

That’s a tough game to find because they didn’t offer it as a downloadable copy, just as a hard copy DVD (for the mac version).

I’m not going to suggest piracy of any means, but I’d either cough up the 30ish on amazon or ebay or acquire it through other, perhaps less moral means. It doesn’t look like it’ll get a whole lot lower than Amazon.

I don’t even think those ut2004 servers are up anymore… Last time I tried playing on my mac, couldn’t even get a serverlist, however a couple of my saved private servers where still up, but no one was ever one.

@Silence04 I’m not sure that’s true. Gametrackers is still showing that there are a few hundred people in servers playing right now.

@dverhey Thanks for your input. I figured it probably won’t go for any cheaper than the price I found. My friend just gave up and bought Counterstrike Source instead since it’s on sale right now. :D

@mhl12 I think CSS is a better game anyway. And for six bucks, who can argue?
