What is my Iphone 4 good for?

Asked by Ltryptophan (12091points) June 24th, 2010

I am trying to get an exhaustive list of how to use this thing differently from my 3GS. Any ideas? Gyroscopes etc.

Keep in mind the 3GS gets the OS upgrade so I am trying to figure out why this phone is better than the old one.

The feature that sealed the deal for me was having a decent camera. It’s not going to be taking photos for National Geographic, but for 98% of the photos I’d ever want to take, it’s just fine. The fact that it will always be with me, makes it better than any other camera I’ve ever owned but didn’t want to have to lug around.

Well as far as that goes, the camera in the 3GS is pretty awesome. iOS4 made it even better with a halfway decent zoom. I’ll upgrade to iPhone 4 eventually, having a flash and 2 cameras will be nice. But I’m in no hurry.

Did you read about the antenna issue with iPhone 4? Apple says, put a case on it or don’t hold it that way.

@netgrrl Good link for those that like dry stats, but I think that this page at engadget is a bit more helpful for those that want it all in layman’s terms.

As for the antenna issue, I am not entirely surprised given the weak transmitter in the older iPhones, though I almost wonder if it was a little rushed to compete with the Droid 2, Droid X, Droid Incredible, and other competitors. I wonder when/if the iPhone v4.1 bug fix will be out :D

You still cannot make calls, even if you hold it correctly!
