How do I fix my Strum Bar for Guitar Hero 3?

I have a Nintendo Wii Guitar, for Guitar Hero 3. Lately, the Strum bar has been either struming too many times when I only strum once, or hasnt been struming when i strum down. Something has to be wrong with the sensitvity, but im really not sure. Can anyone Help me fix this. It’s really getting on my nerves.

It may just be the remote. For a while my wammy bar stoppd working, so I remove the remote from the guitar and restarted it and the guitar was fine.

I have the same system all you have to do is go to options go to guitar in options and when you open up guitar in settings it says calibrate whammy then read the directions and whammy and the person on the screen should turn into a skull
