Congratulations!

I like Chloe, Zoe, Alexa, Anna, Charlotte, and Iris.

When choosing a name, remember she’s going to have it her whole life. Go with something an adult would be proud of. Avoid novelty.

I don’t know if I’m ever having kids or not, but if I had a girl, I would name her Isabelle.

I fell in love with the Queen of the fairies, and her name was “Titania” who was married to ‘Oberon’ the king {I hate Oberon as a name}

Whatever you do, please please please do not give your child a name with a wacky spelling. I just saw this name recently: ‘Britini” pronounced Brittany. You all know as well as I do that her name is being mispronounced on a regular basis. And the teasing she will get will be more than average.

Personally, I’m a fan of Claire, Caroline, Giselle and Grace. And while you’re deciding, here are some things for you to consider not doing.

Congratulations. The name has to sound good in full, with the last name. Whatever you choose will fill your heart everytime you hear it.

“Cute” names are fine for little kids, but your child will spend a lot more time as an adult than a tot. I would go with a traditional first name, and an unusual middle name, or family surname as a middle name.

Isabel, Margaret, Patricia, Claire, Eleanor, Jane, Honora

When she will be born, just add your girl’s name on fluther so, Fluther people will come to know which name you have picked up from above!! :)

My name is Michelle, but a friend told me that I reminded her of Gracie Allen. I loved it, and so now I am Gracie.

Emily or Gracie are the two I like….or Arizona….or…maybe not ;)

@lucillelucillelucille

I’m biased, my daughter is named Emily. Emily Rose.

Way before the horror movie character. lol

My middle name is Rowena…I like it now, as an adult but, as a kid…anyone that found out about it automatically changed it to Row-weenie…...lol

I love the names Jemma, Danielle and Kerrie. I think they are all both child and adult friendly.

Congratulations on the pregnancy. Keep in mind that you choose a name she will have to carry with her long after she is a cute baby. You have four more months to consider this.

In the Jewish tradition, we name a child after someone we love who has died. For example, I was named after my great-grandmother, Golda. It gives some weight to the name, which I always liked. I can’t imagine a more personal decision, however. It’s between you and your husband.

I have to say, she might not have blonde hair. My husband is 50/50 Irish/Italian and I (was) blonde, and have blue eyes. Both our boys came out with blonde hair and blue eyes..they had brown hair when born but it falls out and turns lighter. The surprise of what she looks like will be the best part.
I have a couple names that I will use if I ever have a girl. So, I can’t share lol.
But, I like..
Natalie, Natalia, Gemma

If you would like to know for sure how popular (or unpopular) your idea for a child’s name is, go to www.wolframalpha.com and type in the name. You will see when it was (or is) popular and some idea of how popular.

Of all the names I see on the above postings, Claire is my favorite. It has also been popular as a girl’s name since the late 1800’s and has recently risen dramatically in popularity.

Try names you like, and put a different first letter in front. Experiment with ending vowels. My pick is Ruby,by the way.
