Has anyone noticed the name change on menthol cigarettes from Menthol Kings to just plain cigarettes?

I smoke Newport King cigarettes and I recently noticed how they changed the packaging from Menthol Kings to just cigarettes. What’s up with that? Something to do with the FDA wanting to ban all menthol cigarettes?

I have never worked on Lorillard brands, but I have worked on other brands. The change in packaging would be related to product positioning, and possible reformulation of the chemicals added to the tobacco.
