Recommendations for free software online to make 8 x 11 flyers?

Asked by JasonsMom08 (441points) August 6th, 2010

I am looking for any recommendations for any free downloadable software on the internet that I can use to make an 8×11 flyer for a club. Nothing too fancy, but I would need to be able to add some icons and various text sizes and fonts. Thanks in advance for any ideas!

Windows, Mac or Linux?

You can do that in Word. You can do various fonts and sizes in Word, import graphics, add borders, and all kinds of stuff. 8½” x 11” is standard paper size, so you don’t even need to use a special page layout.

If you know how to create a table in Word, the table function can help you break up your page into sections for easier manipulation of graphics and text according to your design.

Avery.com Pick a templet and go.

@jaytkay – Windows, and I do have Microsoft WORD 2007

Then I would take a look at @missingbite‘s Avery suggestion, or go with Word.

If you you want to get fancy, here are some Word techniques:

Creating Text Boxes in Microsoft Word 2007

GIMP. Open Office.

Open Office would be my first recommendation. Gimp is great for the graphics you might want to create and import into Open Office.
