What's that line that ends with "...and breaking hearts"?

I can’t remember the first part of it, but it’s just one of those dumb sayings like breaking necks and cashing checks.

Burning bridges and breaking hearts?
Breaking rules and breaking hearts?

I think it’s the first one. Google seems to like that one best.

I think it’s the second one, but it still doesn’t sound quite right. Let’s see what other people come up with.

I’d be willing to bet this nickel that there’s more than one. Can you give us another hint? What’s the gist or main idea of it?

Well I mean it’s supposed to be like a rebel-playa kinda thing. Something the typical “bad boy” would say. I said it in like early June to be funny but I can’t remember it now.

I’ve heard “Breaking skulls and breaking hearts” before.

To British sailors, the English Channel was known as the “sea of sore heads and broken hearts”.

I was watching an episode of Veronica Mars today and she said “Busting heads and breaking hearts.” Is that it? (Not unlike @iWitch‘s answer.)
