Does anybody on fluther still watch sponge bob. How about fairly odd parents. What about dragon tales or barney.

Yes. Sponge Bob is the best. So is everything on Adult Swim.

I watch cartoons mostly with my grandchildren. I do enjoy some of the segments on [adult swim].

Kill Barney!

I’m only talking about childrens cartoons not adult swim.

I only watch cartoons with my son these days. I’ll watch Looney Tunes, Tom & Jerry, and a few others with him. I avoid watching SpongeBob, Chowder, and a few others though because they annoy me.

Chowder makes me want to break the tv.

My kids still watch Spongebob pretty often. My daughter used to watch Fairly Odd Parents, but seems to have lost interest over the past year or so. None of my kids ever watched Barney, partly because I went out of my way to avoid it.

When my daughter was in preschool, she loved Dragon Tales. She even dressed as the pink dragon for Halloween one year. That show wasn’t terribly annoying.

I miss “Bear in the Big Blue House,” which my daughter loved for a while. She called it Bear House, and it was so cute. The potty-training episode with the song about Toileteers was one of the funnies things I’ve ever seen.

@Seaofclouds I love Chowder!! That and Avatar: The Last Airbender are about the only two shows my kids watch that I also like.

Just another of the many delights of being a parent. Get to watch all the cartoons, not that I need an excuse.

phineas and ferb on occasion and doug (on dvd, which is totally what i’m going to do today, thanks)

Doug and Hey Arnold, too.

I watch far more cartoons than anyone should. I occasionally stay up very late just to watch cartoons that I watched as a kid.

Most of the newer cartoons seem completely stupid to me, and horribly annoying. I like the old cartoons. Looney Toons, Pink Panther, Tom and Jerry, occasionally the Smurfs… I really, truly hate Dora the Explorer and Barney.

daytonamisticrip's avatar

I absolutely dread listening to dora. I agree older cartoons are much better.

SpongeBob, Johnny Bravo and The Simpsons take priority in this house :-)

kenmc's avatar

@WillWorkForChocolate There are some good new ones:

Johnny Test
Phineas and Ferb
Adventure Time
My Gym Partner is a Monkey

…and to name the best: Chowder.

OreetCocker's avatar

Forgot Recess and Kim Possible ( think I have a bit of a crush on her Mum ;-) )

WillWorkForChocolate's avatar

@boots Yeah, sorry… already seen those with my daughters and I don’t really like them. Especially Chowder, LOL. “MOM! Phineas and Ferb are making a title sequence!”

@WillWorkForChocolate Chowder’s amazing. It makes me feel high without partaking in substances because it is just that trippy.

My sister watches Barney 24/7. Literally. We’ve worn out TVs and the tapes we have in a few months because we never turn it off. It’s what makes her happy, so it’s whats done.

I watch and re-watch Clone Wars quite a bit. (New season starts in one month!)
Outside of that, no current cartoons can keep my interest.

Seaofclouds's avatar

@rangerr My son loves Clone Wars. He can’t wait for the new season. We DVR it for him because of school and his bedtime.

The only cartoon I watch now is Metalocalypse. I just don’t watch much TV in general anymore, though a few years ago I watched all those shows you listed, and Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends (my favourite episode of that show was when Kevin McDonald from The Kids in the Hall voiced a character named Ivan, who was all eyes and a pair of feet. His real-life boy was a blind child named Stevie, and they got separated. Poor Ivan.).

I watch Sponge Bob with family and Robot Chicken alone

The childrens programs are on when my grandchildren are here, but I mostly ignore them.

Hey Arnold
Recess
Aaahh! Real Monsters
Rocko’s Modern Life
Doug
Scooby Doo

to name a few.

“The Wild Thornberrys” grabbed my attention for a couple of months…to the point where I’d get up at 5:30am on Sunday mornings to watch it.

SamIAm's avatar

@Pied_Pfeffer : no way! i always loved that show… what channel was that on? i need to dvr it!

Pied_Pfeffer's avatar

@Samantha_Rae Sadly, it isn’t being played on Nickelodeon anymore, at least that I’m aware of. Some of the episodes are on YouTube though.

I LOVE Spongebob, well you have to with kids in the house. Saying that i do tune in when they are not around too :)

daytonamisticrip's avatar

If you want to watch wild thornberrys and other canceled shows go to hulu.com, it’s free.
one more thing nobody turn this into a long thread about hulu please.

Spongebob every day. My son loves it, and so do I. It’s so funny sometimes, and much of it reminds me of Ren and Stimpy. Also, I love the music.

Actually, there’s not much I don’t love about it.
