What is your expertise that you would share or mentor another Jelly on?

Asked by Cruiser (40449points) August 19th, 2010

Networking is where it is at these days and from the looks of it there are some talented Jellies here with expertise in many things. What are you proficient in, what talents do you have that you would be willing to share, teach or mentor a fellow Jelly in?? What talent do you have, a gift or knack in that you could share or teach?

I formulate epoxies for a living, am pretty good at guitar if I may say so and yoga and body energy is a passion of mine I would willingly share my “expertise” in. What could you share, help, or even life coach a Jelly in??

Pfft, if any jellies had a DIRE NEED to learn how to transcribe and play video game music on the piano, train their pokemon to perfection, photoshop a picture, do a derivative, or diagnose a kidney stone, I’m their go-to girl.

I’d be more than happy to help any Jellies that were looking into a career in nursing. I love teaching and use to tutor other students during college. I can also help people with ideas for care packages. I think I’m also pretty good at dealing with this deployment, so I would happily help others if they were going through one as well (or any other separation).

I know computers and cars pretty well, used to be an electrician in the Navy, and am a machinist by trade. I also have an eclectic mix of hobbies so there is a chance that I may know a lot about too many other things.

Along with that mix of skills, I also have a different way of looking at some things, and some problems can be solved with nothing more than merely thinking outside the box; not hard for someone who spent a good chunk of their life living outside the box!

There are only a few things I would consider myself an “expert” in and I do not think most people on here would be interested in what I’m good at. I am always willing to help someone with a home repair or electrical related question. I have done alot of reading/research on ghosts, spirits, reincarnation and the afterlife so I am willing to help answer some questions on these topics as well. I have a bit of knowledge about cancer and alternative cancer treatments as well. I have done alot of research about cancer since I knew quite a few people that had it. Some of these things however I would only be willing to share privately.

How to screw up a relationship and turn a trusting and loving person into an insecure paranoid wreck.

I have a few areas of knowledge that I’d be willing to share with other jellies. I’m a decent landscape/wildlife photographer, and have a few tips and tricks I could share. I can identify most native plants (just don’t ask me about ornamental garden plants), and have a good grasp on soils, landforms, geology, forestry, ecology, wildlife biology, and other natural sciences. I spend a lot of time outdoors camping and hiking. I travel a lot, and can offer advice about how to survive on the road, and my own personal recommendations about where to go. And I consider myself to have a pretty good taste in music and movies, and am always willing to make a recommendation.
