Is there a Twitter client that will exclude retweets?

One of the friends I follow on twitter retweets almost everything her favorite celebrity tweets. This celebrity happens to tweet a LOT. As such, I’m constantly being told various crap I don’t care about. Normally, I would just unfollow, but she’s one of my closest friends, and then I also couldn’t see all the stuff about her personal life. Is there a Twitter client that will mark all retweets as spam or something? Maybe this twitter client would also mark certain hashtags as spam?

You can roll your own. This is the relevant API documentation: http://dev.twitter.com/doc/get/statuses/retweeted_to_me.

More simply, you could just block that celebrity, so your pal’s retweets of that celeb don’t land in your feed.
