Can you see me? Details inside.

Asked by zen_ (6281points) August 20th, 2010

I can see you. Really. When I’ve gotten to know you a little better, if we are chatting, PMing but especially live in a thread – I feel as if I can see you – and I am not talking about knowing what you look like from pics in flutherbucket.

I’ve written about this before. Let’s see if this gets any thoughts – if there is a question, ask – and I’ll try to explain a little better.

Thanks.

I’ve always been able to picture the expressions people make, without knowing them personally or having ever seen them make certain expressions. I’ve always been good at knowing how people’s faces move I guess. Is that what you mean?

I know what you mean but as yet i don’t see anyone on here. That will change through time i suppose.

Are you talking about seeing someone – literally – in front of you, as if you’re looking at a movie screen or something directly in front of you? If so, I can see you. If not, I’m still in the dark and would like you to turn the lights on.

I think I can see you a little bit. I enjoy the anonymity of it all, but I like to imagine what other jellies look like.

I think of you as looking exactly like your avatar. Do you? I promise I do not look like mine:)

Reminds me of one of my favorite songs

A true classic. Allan Parson’s Project put out a couple of stellar tunes. This one was another that hits me deep.

I’m not sure if I’m seeing something, but I’m hearing some great APP (thanks @SeventhSense….welcome back)!
See ya…...Gary/wtf

@DrasticDreamer I feel, I guess, for lack of a better word (Grok comes to mind) that I can see you, right now, while we’re talking writing. Not like a movie, more like, as if you are in front of me – or in a video conference – but more realistic – because it has nothing to do with the screen. More like a hologram within the screen.

@perspicacious I do, a little – but some say I also look like Kirk a bit. Depends on my hair. You don’t look like a hand?

ANef_is_Enuf's avatar

I am not good at this, no. I am always way, way off. That could change once I know everyone a little bit better, I suppose.

ucme!?! No, get the fuck outta here ;¬}

Questions like this always make me wonder how people perceive me.

What color is my hair.

Everyone I never met in person turned out looking or being a different person than I imagined… but often better different.

zen_'s avatar

I imagine things, too. This is quite different. But you’d have to know me to understand. I don’t think I can put it in words.

Yes, and please put your pants back on.

K.

In my defence, it’s really hot here.

@jjmah
Speaking of pants down…not that I’m complaining though.

zen_'s avatar

Let’s all get drunk and go naked. Woohoo!
