Wis.dm died and Jimenez brought me here. I’ve never been to Yahoo Answers and I’ve made absolutely incredible friends on Fluther, T-shirt and welcome!

T-Shirt.

@Mike1969 : Welcome to Fluther.

I started out on Yahoo!Answers years ago and quickly got tired of it. I migrated to Answerbag, and when that changed for the worse, some friends recommended I try this site. From what I can tell, I’m the only one left of the original bunch of friends who came here, but I’ve made plenty of new ones. :-)

I like Fluther. I like asking thoughtful questions and getting thoughtful answers.

And—t-shirt.

I had a question about a softcore porn show on cable. I didn’t want to waste my weekly Question on ask.metafilter.com asking it there.

Edit :: This was my first question…

Welcome to Fluther. :)

Tank top ftw

muppetish's avatar

1. I found Fluther through Tumblr.
2. I have occasionally been to Yahoo!Answers for a laugh or two, never to ask a question.
3. There are lots of awesome people here :)
4. Button down (long and short-sleeved.)

I read about it on.. Lifehack, I think. I stuck around.

I followed a friend here a few months ago.
I have looked at Y!Answers a few times, but never really made a habit out of it.
There are a ton of great people here!

Never been the Yahoo answers.

A shitty break-up brought me here and I was about to lose my head. Through Google, I found this joint (I had a relationship question).

Jellies are awesome and I’ve a bunch a cool jelly friends that I lurve. I talk to them outside of this site.

I was directed to come here as part of a work release program if I promised to stay at least 300 yards from Yahoo Answers. I like shirts that aren’t tied tightly from the back. You can make lots of friends here that has something or other to do with Jelly.

Prolly Google led me here. I had no idea how I arrived, so I looked up my first question and my first answer.

My first answer July 2009
My first activity was answering a question on bicycle sizing, a topic I know a little better than the average bear (but not much).

My first question August 2009
A month later I asked my first question. One person answered. I neglected to give him a “Great Answer” until today. Ooops!

Vortico's avatar

I’ve answered this same question a few times, but I discovered Fluther though an icon on FluidApp.com. I’ve never even used Fluid, lol.

kenmc's avatar

I, like @Simone_De_Beauvoir, was on wis.dm before fluther.

I’ve never been to Y!Answers and never plan on going.

I’ve met some nice people here.

Tee shirts are my preference.

Suggested by a coworker.
Never been on Yahoo Answers, have no desire to head there.
Haven’t been on here long enough to make any friends yet, but the Jellies seem to be tolerant of diverse personalities.
Button-down, 100% cotton. Preferably on sale.

wilma's avatar

!. Too many tomatoes and google brought me here.
I’ve never been anywhere but here.
2.I’ve made some acquaintances here, I’m kind of shy.

Mr. Itty brought me to Fluther.
Yes I have been to YA. I was a member there since 2006.
I out grew it.
There is some Beautiful people here.
T shirt.
That’s cool. I love the name of the awards.

jonsblond's avatar

@Frenchfry Mr Mickey Mouse? Sweet. :)

Frenchfry's avatar

@jonsblond Yes He does have a thing for Disney

le_inferno's avatar

Followed some AiROWians here.
I’ve seen a couple Yahoo! Answers, but mostly for the lulz.

The friends I’ve made here are few, but they are certainly awesome :) I choose wisely.

I think a guy looks way cuter in a button-up shirt.

stranger_in_a_strange_land's avatar

AB turned into guano. A remark by @YARNLADY brought me here.

1. Yes, I’m still a registered user on YA, but haven’t been there in quite some time.
2. Yes, unfortunately now I’m seeing many of them bickering with each other and leaving. Very sad.
Bonus. Button down; but a black leather jacket would be even better.

daytonamisticrip's avatar

YAHOO ANSWERS SUCKS.

Google Apprently.

Have you ever been on Yahoo Answers? Yes, I have one. I like that site and I frequent it very much.

Bonus Question 2: Have you made any awesome friends on Fluther? I’ve made acquaintances.

POLL: Button down the front shirt? OR… Tee-shirt? Tee Shirt.

Never anywhere else, my daughter convinced me to try this.
Still new enough to have made some awesome acquaintances like @ducky_dnl says.
Whatever is at the top of the clean laundry basket.

Welcome aboard! Or more appropriately, welcome overboard! :-)

CMaz's avatar

I passed out on the keyboard.

chyna's avatar

That’s what those funny marks are on your face.

CMaz's avatar

And you have no idea how difficult it was getting the drool out of it.

My first Fluther question:
How do I get drool out of my keyboard?

RomanExpert's avatar

I was brought to Fluther via Google, a Facebook friend wanted to know how bus drivers close the door. Lol! Yes. I have been to Yahoo Answers. I’m still new to Fluther but I hope to make many awesome friends at Fluther. Button down or T-shirt? Depends on the occasion. Cool, now I need to start asking some questions!

JilltheTooth's avatar

@RomanExpert ; Welcome! Have some fun, here, I think you’ll enjoy it.

RomanExpert's avatar

@all I wanted to add that at the same time I was brought to Fluther to answer a question for a Facebook friend, I was learning a Rush song on guitar…Natural Science. Here are the lyrics to the first section, titled Tide Pools, that’s right, Tide Pools…Weird!:

Natural Science by Rush

1. Tide Pools

When the ebbing tide retreats
Along the rocky shoreline,
It leaves a trail of tidal pools
In a short-lived galaxy.
Each microcosmic planet
A complete society.

A simple kind mirror
To reflect upon our own.
All the busy little creatures
Chasing out their destinies.
Living in their pools,
They soon forget about the sea…

I’ve also posted these words to my Mini-bio on my profile.

wilma's avatar

@RomanExpert kind of our theme song.

JustPeachy's avatar

A couple of people suggested I try it….so I did.
Yes, I have been on yahoo answers….it got sort of boring
I haven’t made a lot of friends on Fluther, yet, but I do have a few
T-shirts are cool
