Good cordless keyboard and Mouse for PC?

Asked by joon1986 (185points) August 25th, 2010

I am looking for cordless keyboard and mouse
It would be nice if you can recommend the bundle
but I am also interested in buying them separate
I don’t want to spend so much on keyboard and mouse since I only gonna use them for regular activities (thinking $50~$70)

the features I want for the device::
– long battery life/charging dock
– soft, quite keys
– back,forward button on mouse
– backlit on keyboard would be nice

share your opinion and any recommendation would be appreciated
Thanks!!

One word: Logitech

The Logitech seems to be the best. The battery to use would probably be either a rechargeable battery or just use a “long life” battery as they last for quite a few months unless you are “at it” for extended periods of time.

I’ve got several computers but the only one that seems to dislike the wirelss keyboard/mouse is the computer I use for the internet. Even when I used a different computer for the internet, the wirelss devices continued to act abnormally, even with a different set of wirelss keyboard and mouse. Several internet Contacts of mine have also had problems with their sets when used for the internet. I’m not sure what the problem is but I’ve just switched back to the corded mouse and keyboard, for internet usage.

Here is where to get more “bang for your buck”. BIG LOTS. i purchased a brand new GE wireless keyboard and mouse for 19.95. i have used it for 6 months and it was really a good buy. both are run on batteries, but changing them every 8 months is not a bad deal. this answer is being typed on my wireless GE keyboard. its fast and well worth 20 bucks. run, don’t walk to your nearest BIG LOTS store. they both come in one package. batteries, too.

Make sure you use the setup CD that comes with the package so that compatibility issues are overcome. Windows standard software is okay for basic usage but most, if not all wireless keyboards have many other functions, extra buttons. Also, make sure that the “antenna” is plugged into a usb port that is connected to the main board and not to a hub or front port, and has a clear view of your devices.
