How to get Facebook photos from a friend's album, which is limited to their friends only, to show up to all your friends, without creating separate album?

Asked by guitarhero1983 (135points) August 30th, 2010

Curious as to how to do this without committing a Facebook faux pas. Once, I created a new album which contained photos saved to my desktop from a friend’s album, who had restricted access to those photos to only her friends, but I wanted my friends to see the photos as well, and I got called out for “stealing” that friend’s photos. Is there any way to do this?

The only way they would show up on your page would be if you are tagged in them. If your friend has them limited to only their friends, your other friends won’t be able to see them unless you are tagged in them, you make a separate album, or they become friends with your other friend. You could always ask your friend if you can have some of the pictures as well (especially if they are pictures of you).

@Seaofclouds Okay—that’s what I thought.

Unfortunately (for you) Facebook doesn’t allow this. Everyone would cry that there’s no privacy and I’m quite thankful they don’t let you do this. What you can do though is save each of the photos to your computer manually then uploading them as your own.

Also it’d probably be a good idea to hide the album from the person who’s pictures they where originally in privacy settings (then they’ll never know!).
