Mouse rollover pop-ups: Is it possible to block them on a Mac?

Asked by Austinlad (16323points) September 2nd, 2010

There’s a little program called POW! that does this for the PC, and it works great with IE. Does anyone know of something that does the same for the Mac in Safari? Note: it’s not ads I want to block—Safari has an ad blocker built in. It’s mouse rollover pop-ups I want to block in news headlines.

Adblock should do the trick. You do need the latest version of Safari and you have to allow extensions.

Actually, @blah_blah, as I said in my question, I don’t need an ad blocker—I need something that will defeat mouseover popups, the kind for example that occur on Yahoo when you mouse over news headlines and get a short preview of the full text. Thanks anyway.
