Why is it that whenever I smoke weed I wig out and collapse and/or get sick?

Asked by luminous00 (350points) March 27th, 2008

The past two times I’ve smoked, I’ve taken notice to my spinning around and will literally constantly spin and collapse and pass out. Is it my OCD being amplified by the weed?

Maybe, you shouldn’t smoke it

It’s never good to abuse and use any drug especially with a condition like OCD. I’m sure you take other medication and “Mary Jane” and that are most likely conflicting. I am not a doctor or in the medical field.

Bummer!!! Is it the same stuff? Maybe there’s something weird in it. If not, maybe it’s just not for you.

this was before my OCD / anxiety medication. I dont smoke anymore, I’ve smoked a total of 10 times, was just curious.

Oh! Okay, yeah. I take anxiety medication and I can’t touch the stuff anymore now.

what anxiety medication are you on? I’ve been on wellbutrin for 5mo now, which is for depression really, but its supposed to prevent anxiety. Hah, doesn’t work for shiz.

I take Gabapentin. It’s pretty fun stuff. Years ago I took Welbutrin for about a week. I had to stop because it made me manic!

You had that kind of problem the first time you tried it, and you tried it again?

Sometimes people just baffle me.

I used to take concerta (for ADHD) and while on that medication and weed, it was a horrible experience! My heart used to beat really fast, and I’d feel so paranoid. Now, I’m happy to say I’m not on any medication anymore and love the ganja

@ cwilbur – I like to think of it as the reason people keep going back to smoking, they keep thinking this time will be different, this was the same situation…only i only got that reaction the last two times i smoked, the 8 times before that i was just extremely paranoid and felt every touch for 5min at a time. I don’t know, just seemed odd, and I can only attach it to my OCD that developed over the years.

just mix it with more tobacco so its a bit weaker, so you don’t pull a whitey or anything

My sister in law can’t smoke either. She gets palpitations , and ended up in the emergency room from it. You are just one of those people who can’t smoke pot. I wouldn’t advise you to try it again.
