Go to Start > Run, type “dxdiag” and hit Enter. This program will tell you your operating system, system model, processor model and clock speed, volume of RAM, graphics capabilities and DirectX version. Other tabs will give you information on sound capabilities etc. To find the year it was built, put your system model code into Google, and it should be able to tell you what years that model was built.
