Do you feel Iranian President, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's, comments about 9/11 were "hateful" and "offensive?"?

During Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s speech to the U.N. on Thursday, he accused the US government of orchestrating the 9/11 attacks, saying, “some segments within the US government orchestrated the attack to reverse the declining American economy and its grips on the Middle East, in order to save the Zionist regime. The majority of the American people as well as other nations and politicians agree with this view.”
He also proposed that the UN set up an independent fact-finding group to investigate 9/11.
President Obama responded by saying that his accusations were hateful and offensive.

In a 2006 poll done by Zogby International regarding the 9/11 attacks, 42% of people polled, said that the US government and the 9/11 commission were covering up the truth about 9/11. 45% called for a new investigation.
The poll information can be found here.
I do not feel his comments were out of line.
How do you feel about the Iranian President’s comments?
