Can contraceptive pills make you feel sleepy?

i take (microgynon 30), i have been on it for less than 2 months, 3 weeks after i started feeling sleepy more than before.
i dont do alot of work and i still feel tired.
is it because of the pill or could there be another reason?

You should ask your doctor. There are so many things that could be causing your sleepiness that may have nothing to do with the pill.

What @nikipedia said. It’s possible . . . contraceptives alter the hormone levels in your body, which can definitely make you tired!

My general rule of thumb is that any drug can cause anything. But in my experience that’s not one of the common ones.

Yes. It’s not uncommon to have symptoms like drowsiness and nausea in the first few weeks with a new contraceptive pill. However, if the symptoms persist, you may want to visit your doctor and have him/her switch you to another pill.
