Do you support John Stewart's RALLY TO RESTORE SANITY, Oct. 30th, in WA DC?

Asked by zzc (1135points) October 5th, 2010

John Stewart is appealing to all the moderates to have this rally, to balance all the hullabaloo coming from the more radical groups. I think it’s great! I’d go, if I could. He says we’re just hearing from these groups, because the moderates are busy living their lives, and calls for them to, “Restore the Sanity!” What do you think?

I bought a train ticket from Portland Oregon to Boston after he announced it. I will be traveling with some friends from Boston to DC for the rally. And don’t forget about Colbert’s Rally to Keep Fear Alive. It should be a fun weekend.

We also have the Coffee Party

There was an interesting article in the NYT last week about the Tea Kettle Movement

@johnpowell If you’ll be in DC, look me up. I’ll buy you a beer!

I don’t know if I’ll be up for actually going to the rally, as crowds and I don’t get along so well, but I definitely support the idea.

@augustlan :: Will do.. I was thinking a Fluther gathering would be fun. We could meet up for beers and pizza for a few hours. I know of a few other people here that are going.

That would be awesome. Hopefully, I won’t be sick for this one!

I wonder who he’s calling insane. The radical democrats or the radical republicans. My mind is already shifted to the latter. Ah, doesn’t it feel good to have the loud mouth conservative back yall? ;)

jrpowell's avatar

@ducky_dnl :: You would know that he is calling out both sides if you watched his show. And you fit your stereotype well.

Yes, I support it. I was going to go, then I realized that I can’t afford it lol…....sadness ensued.

I signed up for a spot on one of Arianna Huffington’s buses to go yesterday. It’s bound to be an interesting trip, if nothing else!

No.

I believe in the separation of comedy and state.

I’d love to go, but I’ll have to settle for being there in spirit.

@Mein Teil, Oh NO! Say it isn’t SO!
