What are you dressing up as for halloween?

Asked by daytonamisticrip (4859points) October 8th, 2010

What do you want to dress up as?
Also who all is going trick or treating? Is anyone’s parents saying you’re to old to trick or treat?
How old is to old to go trick or treating?

I am dressing like the goddess Artemis.

My husband (King Diamond) and I will be taking our son (Conan the Barbarian) trick-or-treating. We’re also having a pre-Halloween costume party on the 29th.

If anyone’s parents have a problem with it, they can shove it. ^_^

You’re never too old for costumes and free candy.

I’ve got a very special visitor coming to stay, who happens to be arriving on halloween… so I intend to dress very nicely indeed that day…

I may be a surgeon with blood all over his smock and a huge syringe full of blood, unless I can find a better costume. I’ll just be handing out candy, since 25 is a little old to be going out.

I want to be a wolfwoman and dress my sweetie as a wolfman, kinda like this http://www.threadless.com/product/1181/It_s_Always_Midnight_Somewhere

Bald headed old guy! Oh that’s what was in the mirror this morning when I shaved.

Just passing candy out. Two different neighbors have hay wagons for the under twelve year olds. We will have a total of 35 – 40 ghosts, goblins, princesses and big green frogs.

Since I got a wicked beard going on, I’m thinking of going as Walker Texas Ranger aka Chuck Norris. Hehe, it should be fun.

I’ve always wanted to be Waldo from Where’s Waldo. Anyone know where I could buy the costume. I could probably just make it myself though, shouldn’t be too hard.

daytonamisticrip's avatar

I know where waldo is!

@erichw1504 Here you go

Target, Sears, K-Mart… everywhere, apparently.

@Seek_Kolinahr Wow, thanks. Didn’t know it was at all those stores. Guess I just need to look harder.

The Pied Piper, of course!

@harple Okay, I’m guessing that you are either pregnant with a due date of October 31, or have some sort of French maid costume in mind.

My daughter is. I have a spooky Tshirt, Light up earrings. My daughter is a disney Princess. She is into that right now. I can’t wait till she wants to dress up spooky, scary. That would be fun but right now she is three. SO She says it’s too scary.

I was originally going to be the poacher from the movie Jumanji, but then I realized that my pith helmet is starting to fall apart and I didn’t want to have to buy a new one.

So I decided to be a badass 1930’s style explorer/adventurer instead. basically what I would be every day if there weren’t those pesky social norms

My group wants to be characters from Avatar: The Last Airbender and I wanna be Aang…and my parents don’t think I’m too old to trick or treat. I feel like it’s a personal choice when to stop trick or treating. Granted, there will be times when people think it’s creepy. My neighbor looked like a 21 year old since he was 13, and always got the door in his face for looking “too old for trick or treating”...

TexasDude's avatar

I’m 20. Most of my friends are between 20 and 22. We are all going trick or treating this year.

daytonamisticrip's avatar

@Fiddle_Playing_Creole_Bastard I will just have to tell my mom that. She will either think you’re that creepy guy a couple streets down from us or she’ll realize I’m not to old for trick or treating.

TexasDude's avatar

@daytonamisticrip, where I’m from, most people don’t really care. We are all still young and we all love candy and showing off our costumes. We will probably all go get hammered afterwards anyway, and nobody will really care or think we are creepy. I think people think about that a lot less than your mom realizes. Most people don’t really care. It’s Halloween… it’s time for fun!

daytonamisticrip's avatar

There we go! Sometimes you just need a break from everything even though your “to old for it”. Looks like you just made it possible for me to go trick or treating this year :)

TexasDude's avatar

Hell yeah! Enjoy!

Tropical_Willie's avatar

I am over 21 and have been for a while. I use to go “treat or treat” at one of my neighbors with an empty shot glass.

I’m working at our theme park for the Halloween Haunt.
So I’ll be dressing up in whatever costume they have me in for that night.

I couldn’t decide between being a panda (I’m crocheting panda ears & panda paw arm warmers) & Andrew WK. So I’m being a bloody nosed panda.
