Xbox 360 disk drive issue?

Whenever I put a disk in the drive, it keeps re-opening. It try cleaning the disk and the the drive (not opening the console though). Its not a FAQ or troubleshoot on microsoft’s website, so can anyone help?

The only time we had a problem the kids said something about resetting the machine and that fixed it. If that means anything to you. I don’t play with it so I’m clueless.
