Which do you prefer, My Space or Facebook (or something else)? Why?

I prefer facebook. Myspace has the problem that is overrun with viruses. A lot of accounts have been taken over so there's spam everywhere

Facebook seems to be clean and smooth. I love it (although now they've added applications theres more music and stuff that I hated about myspace)

Facebook allows you to network with kids from the same college. There are discussion boards that give great information to new students too. Facebook is also more secure, allowing you to protect who sees your page. Facebook doesn't require a lot of work on your part either. Your friends are the ones doing the posting on your page, rather than you having to update your page to encourage visitors. Go with facebook.

facebook lets me get in touch with all my friends from different places. ANd its so organized. A few days ago i found this girl whom i was friends with in 6th grade and i havent see her ever since. Its a greea tplace to get in touch with old or new friends

From a design standpoint, I love facebook. It seems like they've done everything right. Most of my friends, however, are on myspace and friendster. Yes, I'm that old.

I like Facebook better because of its open nature, but I still don't think they're both that great. I'm not a social-networks guy (though I'm also on Last.fm which also has a, much more accessible, social network). Seeing that none of my friends are on either it's not so hard a choice. In the Netherlands, Hyves is very popular but that sucks so much I won't even try.

I use MySpace, because that's where all of my friends are.:P None of them have an account on any other site like that.(Facebook, etc.)

I prefer Facebook over MySpace, but I would rather use Virb over either of those two. For one thing, you can turn off all customizations in the click of a button with Virb (say goodbye to Comic Sans and glittery designs! hurray!). Also, while it does have a smaller group of users, it does seem to attract more literate people and design-oriented people. It’s like MySpace for people who care about more than just a popularity contest. Unfortunately, it’s hard to get people to switch away from MySpace and Facebook, so I have accounts there, as well. :)
