When we will have tomatoes back in the store and restaurants?

I was about to say, I’m from New Jersey too and just had some tomatoes.

I’m in Western MD and yesterday couldn’t have salsa on my burrito bowl at Chipotle :0(
They had signs posted saying it was an FDA recall effecting roma tomatoes. (?)

Funny this was the first I’d heard of it, and the first thing I thought was, I wonder why no one has brought it up on fluther?

@2late2be has it right. Until they can pinpoint the source of the contamination, there is a ban on tomatoes. Here in Texas, there are local ones available, but no imported.

I am in PA & there is no tomato shortage here…As a matter of fact I bought 2 really nice ones today!

Here in Northern California there’s no shortage. Of course I live in Sacramento, also known as Sacratomato.

I live in the Sacramento area also, so I was pretty surprised by this. Why wouldn’t we be sending them to Texas? Must be hard living without salsa.

VERY HARD!!! You know, I just discovered the recipe of my favorite salsa of all times that I like to eat with chicharrones, I went to walmart, get chile de arbol, onion, cilantro, garlic, and…. WTF!!! No tomatoes!!!! Nooooooooo!!!

Aren’t there any at your local farmer market??
