What does the gear next to your name mean on Halo 3 online?

If you know what I’m talking about please answer: What does the gear symbol to the left of your name in Halo 3 matchmaking mean? It can be seen while waiting for the game to start. BTW this user name is also my gamer tag incase you may need an example.

It means your linked to bungie. You can turn it on or off if you go on their website and have a windows live account. Just log in and go to the preferences and youll see an option for it.

The gear symbol you are talking about is the bungie logo.

It’s called “THe ninth column” It originally didn’t have a name but then the community used it as their logo, and it’s supposed to be the ninth column that sticks out. But yes exactly what uberbatman said. It doesn’t mean you’re ace or anything like that.
