huh? are you trying to say that you think 2012 is the end of the world? if so, then no it isn’t. what makes you think that?

Allie's avatar

Remember what people said about the millennium? I think the world will still exist after 2012.

Type 2012 into the Fluther search engine. You will find the same question asked many times and answered (over 50 times) with various degrees of scepticism.

Mayan predictions, reversal of the poles, Armageddon – choose 1.

Yes. That’s why my escape pod is nearly complete.

AC: Does this escape pod have a side car?

I’ll let you know in 2012.

Let’s party like it’s 1999!

If you are all really nice I might let it exist longer :)

Are you calling shotgun, Allie?

Lightlyseared's avatar

it will be for the London olympics committee if they screw up!

Wine3213's avatar

If the Mayans were right, then yes. That’s when their calender ended. Sometime in early December of that year. I guess we’ll have to see. :)

Uhhh, yeeaah. Suuure.

mirza's avatar

NO. Not trying to offend anyone, but I find it simply stupid that people believe in such things

bluemukaki's avatar

No, but at least it will mean the end of all these damn ‘2012 end of teh worldz’ questions about it on Fluther! I suppose people will just find the next date to believe is going to be the end of the world.

honniemac's avatar

Only if you die in 2012. But then again, it wouldn’t be the end of days in general; it would merely be the end of your days.

I can’t add any more beyond what others have said besides:

You’re kidding, right?

Lost_World's avatar

I jolly well hope not.

I dont think so. God says no one knows the time or place. I think it will be a random day that no one expects. My $.02

AstroChuck: I am calling shotgun! =] Sorry it took so long to respond.

Wine3213's avatar

This is not really going to happen. People have been predicting the end of the world forever. Besides, the Mayans only stopped counting on their calender around that time. That doesn’t mean a thing.

Theotherkid's avatar

I like Earth! I don’t want it to end!
Although a meteor caught in our gravatational pull and hit us could happen at any time. Meteors hit Earth a lot… Thankfully not BIG ones!
