Better to buy Apple stock or options on Apple stock?
I’ve never traded, but I figure Apple is a safe bet for the year ahead given the worldwide iPhone release. Do you know which is the better play?

it depends. if you just want a quick profit in the short run, then i would buy stocks. if youre in it for a bigger investment, i’d go either way.
@Kevin: check out the Apple spread sheet, financial analysis, and price/earnings ratio, for starters. has had an enormous surge since I bought it at $40, thinking myself so smart ( and sold at $20).
Talked about this quite a bit in http://www.fluther.com/disc/14969/invest-in-apple/ . I wouldn’t invest in them right now… but it all ultimately depends on:
* How much are you looking to invest?
* For how long?
