how many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsie roll pop? let’s find out…one…two…..three CRACK….three.
the world may never know.
Under the Umbrella Tree.
But my all-time favorite movie was Puff, the Magic Dragon. I still think I know every word of that by heart.
Fraggle Rock provided me with hours of entertainment. Check this link out for more Fragglrific fun
Small Wonder. Vicki was the robots name. And those were two of my favorites shows when I was a young boy.
I loved Schoolhouse Rock and In the News during Saturday morning cartoons. I can still recite the preamble to the Constitution – as long as I sing it.
Does anyone else remember Woodsy Owl? He used to say “give a hoot, don’t pollute” he had a song and everything.
And for all the Southern Californian’s out there, how about Tom Hatten on channel five drawing pictures and showing Popeye and Our Gang? Good times.
In the 1970’s (when I was a child) whenever CBS would be having a special event (eg. The sound of Music, Charlie Brown Christmas, etc.) they would run this intro. Just the sight of it made my heart leap. Current TV has since co-opted it’s design.
“The Family Film Festival,” also a Tom Hatten staple. All the “Sinbad the Sailor” movies you could handle.
@knotmyday! It totally remember “The Family Film Festival!” Wasn’t it on Saturday or Sunday? You must be from So Cal, so do you remember Zachary All commercials? You know, the ones where the guy floated over the suits talking about how great the store was?
Yep. And “Cal Worthington and his dog Spot.” And the “Federated” commercials.
Once again, I am 12. Pass me an Otter Pop…

“I am Pippi Longstocking, if you say it fast its funny. Pippi, Pippi Longstocking, how I love my happy name.”
Dallas!! Without a doubt the best TV series ever made! Love the drama, the over-the-top glamour and not to mention the pre-political-correctness dialog!!
I mean come on! It’s not like it’s the Dukes of Hazzard or something!
Can’t believe you’d diss my fav. tv show!! it’s got fab shoes and cowboy hats, what’s not to love?!?!
But fine!! Maybe we can compromise on this gem ?
@banjo: “you can’t do that on television!” you’d get slimed if you said “i don’t know”
didn’t nik also have their own version of sesame street?
