What is your favorite electric car?

I am thinking about buying a new car and have been reading about electric cars online. Does anyone have an electric already? Any car problems?

I keep seeing this one around town. It starts with a Z (I think). I want it. There’s a really neat old guy driving it. Its very cute. I keep not having a chance to read the name.

A tesla would be sweet, but I think now I’d rather have the Fisker Karma.. it’s cool looking too, and has speakers to make it sound like a jet… weird but awesome, who could resist that?

The tesla would be more fun because it has a top that goes down, the fisker is a hardtop

i’ll take both please!

@Del, are you talking about the ZENN car? ZENN stands for zero-emissions, no-noise. It is 100% electric. Here is a nice, short video about it. (1:11 long)

I saw it at the SF green festival. Looks fantastic, except it only goes up to 25 MPH or so, and for 60 miles at a charge. That wouldn’t work for me. Otherwise, it looks amazing.

YES! yes yes! THATS IT!

Its sad, though, that it only goes that speed and distance. I’d have to not be traveling as much as I do to be able to use one.

I’m not 100% sure my numbers are accurate. You might want to look into it further if you fancy it.

Sadly, I did. I have to commute to school and to see my boyfriend during the school year. It wouldn’t work for me. :(

Did every one hear the news on Tesla???? They will be mfg the roadster in Cali, not NM, and more important than that….drum roll! They will be providing mercedes with batteries for their electric cars!!!!!! can anyone say, new buiness for Tesla!

XCNuse's avatar

can anyone say what the heck did you say?
MFG the roadster?
not NM?

… huh?

well someone has to provide batteries for Mercedes, they say their cars will be electric come 2010, what better place to look for than some Californians, that is weird though, tesla isn’t a battery company, why would they be looking towards a small company for something they don’t even provide? (random rant; pissed off at apple at the moment)

Manufacturing.

New Mexico.

Innovative lithium-ion power delivery grid/safety features.

If you just talk to Apple, Apple will give you a hug!

Really? I did not know that, I mean is it truly a laptop li-ion manufacturing plant, as to why their batteries in the car is for the most part a laptop battery in circuit?

god I dont think apple will give me a hug right now lol they need to hug their servers after today, but even those might burn them!
