Which is the better books social network - Goodreads, Books iRead, LibraryThing or Shelfari - and why do you think it works for you?

These are some of the prominent books social networks and I’m wondering which is the best. I’ve created a booklist in Books iRead but discovered some shortcomings. So, I’m wondering how Books iRead compared to other networks.

I love Shelfari so far. I looked at Goodreads and joined it but found it cumbersome and wasn’t drawn to return to it. LibraryThing is popular but too text heavy for me. Shelfari is just so much “fun.” Are you a teacher? I am in a high school.
