Why is itunes not bringing up the new update for my first generation iPhone?

no.. read the other gripes people are posting; apple has had issues the past 10 hours, very few people have the update, and a lot of people have bricked their iphones because of an incomplete update, and tons are without phones right now.

You’ll have to wait until apple gets it settled.

It’s there, but very few people can download it, the servers took a hit this morning and still are.

give it time, or a day or two
