Renting Movies on iTunes?

Asked by atharkhan (470 points) | asked 1 month ago | 6 responses | “Great Question” (0 points) | Flag as…

If you rent a movie on iTunes (and then decide to buy it) do you pay the difference? or do you have to pay full price? I thought you had to pay full price but someone is teling me that they were offered an option to buy it for the difference.

I would think you’d pay the whole sum. I could be wrong, but that’s like renting a movie and coming back and they give you $5 off a purchase.

I could be wrong though.

Nope, you don’t get a discount for buying a movie you’ve previously rented.

Never rent through iTunes, it is an incredible rip off. Get Netflix.

I have both ;)

I also occasionally use Comcast On Demand, Live marketplace and now the Playstation store. So many options! Plus the bay full of pirates.

I think buying off iTunes is a ripoff too. I wanted to watch Batman cartoons and bought them for $34—only to find the DVD set for half that price on Amazon.

But I guess when you’re stressed about a monster exam (the bar exam) and just want to watch a movie without leaving the house… it kinda works. Still… you’re right—total rip off.

No, I don’t buy movie from itunes, I have many DVD at home, and I rip DVD for my ipod with the Daniusoft DVD Ripper, it converts DVD by customizing file size and accord with all my request and rips dvd without lost, friends recommend it to me.
