my roommate got some decent stuff at Drug Fair. also, if you can find an auction house, especially one that does estate sales, you can find some excellent furniture of all kinds.

Garage sales are a good option. We are nearing the end of the season so big box retailers like Home Depot and Lowe’s will be putting summer stuff on sale.
