What are some must-see sights in Barcelona, Spain?
I'll be there for five days in September on a Western Europe trip.

Be sure to leave lots of time to see Gaudi's Sagrada Familia cathedral and be sure to pay extra to go up the tower - both are astonishing. One day the cathedral will be finished. It was started in 1882 and is due to be completed in 2041. Awesome.
Some architectural tips to see :
* The Sagrada Fam?lia church
* Park G?ell
* Casa Mil?
* The Camp Nou stadium
* Hospital de la Santa Creu i de Sant Pau ( near Sagrada Familia )
Attend a match at the Nou Camp.
the museum of contemporary art (MACBA) is pretty good, the miro foundation is excellent, the picasso museum is great, the church with the geese in the gothic quarter is nice, having a juice at Mango Jones off Las Ramblas, the olympic staium is fantastic..and if you want a really worthwhile trip outside of the city, go to Figueres to see Dali's house--its absolutely amazing, really quirky (as you would imagine) and full of great examples of his work. the building itself is also covered in ceramic croissant shapes.
My parents went to Barcelona, Spain and they drove along the roads toward the border of France. They have cute little coastal towns toward the France border.
Yikes i didn't know that.
any of gaudi's buildings are amazing as others have said, but i would recommmend just walking up and down the streets! walk instead of take the subway-- i def regretted being underground so much of the time!
Better yet visit this quick Barcelona Spain guide! You can find out more information and other sights worth a visit.
I too liked walking around, particularly in the Barri Gotic section. Walking from the top of Las Ramblas down to the harbor is a nice walk.
Another great way to see Barcelona is by riding on Bus Turistic which is one of those hop-on, hop-off tourist buses that goes around the city.

The best thing to is go to the top of Montjuic or Tibidabo for incredible views of Barcelona.
Also, visit Plaza Espanya on any Saturday at 10pm for a magic fountain experience! they play music and coordinate the fountains to the music!

La Casa Batlló y, por supuesto, El Temple Expiatori de la Sagrada Familia .
There are these whole mess of complex little streets just east and west of via laietana near the coast—they have fantastic boutiques and bookstores and art shops, and of course restaurants and bars. Plus, you’re nearby Parc de la Ciutadella, which is fun people watching. And of course La Rambla’s right there which is always nutso. You have to walk up and down a couple times, and def. stop in La Mercat de la Boqueria—very cool—as is Santa Caterina. And if you can find this little spot called Placa del Rei at night, you’ll be rewarded!
@sabanawo Montjuic is pretty great, huh?
