Why is Naruto so addictive?

I dunno, I watched the first few episodes a few years back (the first story arc, I beleive). I just couldn’t really get into it enough to watch more. The bad guy they were fighting at the time was pretty cool though, I’ll admit that.

But the show itself aside, I have a hard time standing some of its fans, especially the ones that dress up as their favorite characters, go out into public and start screaming about how they are ninjas, and then moan about how they can never get women.

Not something that I would do, I’m all grown up.

I could never get into the show. I’ve known people who were into it and they would make watch it but I could never pick it up like they did.
