I am assuming that you know both breeds well, and what you are taking on. English bulldogs are subject to a host of health problems including respiratory, poor eyesight, etc. If you live in a hot climate, they are not a good choice as they react poorly to heat.

Olde English Bulldogges are often viewed by people not knowledgeable about dogs as being pit bulls. They are, as you probably know, a relatively new breed.

Which animal is the better fit with you lifestyle? Olde English Bulldogges need a decent amount of daily exercise.

Have you thought about a boxer instead? They aren’t as high maintence as a bull dog and they make great pets in just about any climate and with small children.
