Trying to get an idea of what people think about Bluetooth headsets they have used. I am specificaly interested in Jawbone, Jabra, and Planitronics. But any advise or recomendations would be helpful.

I have tried a Planitronics model, of which I don't remember which one, and didn't care for it much. Seemed a bit flimsy. I must say, and don't take this as a personal jab, that nothing , in my opinion says "goob", like someone who wears one of these things as often as they wear a watch.

For driving, I can understand. For walking through the mall, babbling like the village idiot, no way.

Apple’s headset for the iPhone is beautiful and functional. Also, the Aleph Jawbone is amazing.

Yeah, I really like the apple headset. The auto paring is great, the duel dock is nice, it’s fairly comforable and secure. But, and this huge… I tried one at the Apple store and found that just keeping my phone at arms length was impossible unless I was willing to deal with the static from a weak signal. Even with the phone in it’s case on my hip, the clarity began to suffer. I was very disappointed, because there were so many pros. But for me the whole reason I bought a Bluetooth headset was to be able to work around my shop, drive, write, etc while having hands free conversation. The apple headset just couldn’t provide that reliably, in my experience. I ended up going with the Jawbone and have been very pleased. Not perfect, but meets any reasonable expectations…

i used to use the Jabra with my Nokia 6630 and it worked like a dream. Synced perfectly and the battery life was plenty long enough. The Jabra ended up costing me something like £10, which is nothing really, and the sound quality was excellent
