Here are some of the tunes that put a smile on my face (and thanks for asking that question!):

A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes

That Happy Feeling

The Theme from ‘A Summer Place’

Montego Bay

Mambo #5

The Stripper

Save Your Kisses for Me

Barbie Girl

I might add that sometimes, it isn’t the actual song that causes me to smile, as much as it is the memories that a particular melody creates, within in my mind.

There are many more, too numerous to list here, and the overwhelming majority are instrumentals

Praise & Worship songs done usually by children choir.
YouTube Children of the World International Choir, those children are from various places in the world that are orphans and sing worship as little precious angels.

Anything by Bowling For Soup makes me laugh.
Most 80’s rock songs give me that nostalgic smile
70’s and 80’s Disco songs make me wanna dance

Recently I’ve found Scouting For Girls and Mika to be nice cheer-up music – even if the lyrics aren’t all that cheerful…

How about that song by “Kool & The Gang?”

I don’t remember all of the words, but they keep repeating throughout the song, “Sit Down On It.”

“Victor Vito and Freddy Vaso” a song for my kids
“Victor Vito and Freddie Vasco
ate a burrito with Tabasco.
They put it on their rice.
They put it on their beans.
On their rutabagas, and on their collard greens.
Hey Victor! Hey Freddie!
Let’s eat some spaghetti!”

The Hokey Pokey!

JackAdams's avatar

@Mr. M: Did you hear that the composer of The Hokey Pokey died a few years ago? It’s true; he did.

They had some problems at the funeral home, when they were preparing his body for burial.

When it came time to respectfully place his body in the casket, these things happened:

They put his left foot in,
They took his left foot out,
They tucked his left foot in,
And they shook it all about…
