Okay well I like Virgins font and I was wondering if anyone knew what it was. It’s in their logo. You can take a look here. www.virgin.com

Do you mean the font on the site or the font in their logo?

Logo. Were it says Virgin

I was afraid of that. Chances are that it is a custom piece of art done for them. It is neat, isn’t it? I like it too.

Oh okay. Poo I really liked it

Is there any other font at least similar?

The current Virgin logo, known informally as “The Scrawl”, was drawn on a cocktail napkin in a 1982 meeting between Richard Branson and a graphic designer.

The logo was reproduced from the napkin into the working brand for the company.

Some things have more to them than just picking a font, eh? ;)

Oh cool I never knew that. :)

Fabulous bit of history, richardhenry! Not a surprise that a man of Branson’s ego would just draw his own, is it? But then, with his money and talent for making it, why not have an ego?

It was actually the graphic designer that drew the logo, not him. But he did tell the guy that although he wasn’t going to hire him on a contract basis, he was very happy with “the scrawl”. He paid him a few grand to take the napkin away, and that was that.
