How do I remove a bumper sticker from my car?

I just bought a car, but unfortunately there is a sticker on the bumper that I don't want. The bumper is non-metal (fiberglass/plastic?) and I don't want the paint to strip off by peeling the sticker. Any ideas?

I would probably use a solvent like Goo- Gone and slather it all over the sticker for ten min. trying to get it saturated at the edges. I would then use a razor blade or razor paint scraper to gently peel away one corner and use more 'goo-gone' to break up the sticky residue. I did this and it worked pretty well on a plastic bumper... Usually, if the sticker has been on for awhile it will be cracked from the weather and will come off in small bits. This will make the job easier, but it might be a bit tedious.

A hair dryer or heat gun ( on low) will work. Just get it warm, and take your time.

You could place a warm wash-cloth on the bumper sticker for a few minutes. This should loosen up the glue on the back of the sticker enough for you to pull it off, without pulling any paint off. Good luck!

wd40 is a great adhesive remover. Don't know how well it would work on really hardened stuff, but worth a try.
