How do I get artwork to appear for a podcast?

I’m writing a podcast and I’m trying to get it so that when it appears in iTunes and on an iPod/iPhone it has that image instead of the default artwork image. I have looked at the Apple website and they suggest using the <itunes:image /> tag, which I have added, but it doesn’t seem to do anything. I can’t find anything else on the web about it either.
