I’ve been thinking about buying a touch screen computer but don’t think there are more interesting ways to use them other than photos and music. I don’t want to waste my money.

I dunno what your daily situation is, but tablet touch screens are great for taking notes. You can use a writing—> text engine and type by writing—very cool. Students ususally find this useful.
