Wine, Olive Oil, or the pope’s beanie.
I would say Surprise me. I trust your judgment.
Cappucino machine, although that must cost a lot, maybe espresso machine.
An Italian toy, something wooden and hand made. Something unique.

I’m not particularly religious, but they are truly beautiful and smell wonderful.
T-shirts with Italy / Italian language on them
something like a small vase or a silk scarf
Wine, olive oil, limoncello, chocolate (European chocolate is divine), Illy espresso. :)
If you like espresso but don’t have a machine, you could have her check an outdoor market for a moka, they’re very commonly used there and inexpensive. They also have stove-top milk frothers, which are also inexpensive.
I couldn’t ask for something specific, I would just appreciate the fact that they wanted to bring me something.
Tickets to something big out there-like a show or Venue.
Brochure or something touristy about the coliseum
Model or hand made figure of a monument
:)
wine, olive oil and olives :)
I would give her the money and ask her to bring me some Serengeti’s.
A pebble from the ground in the Roman Forum.
A case of 1989 Ruffino Riserva Ducati Chianti. Or the equivalent.
(Hey, if he’s going to Rome he can afford it!)
I would tell him i wanted him to stop being a cheapskate and to buy me a ticket to go with him! :)
