Do you think McCain is proud of his narrow minded voters?

Based on his response the other day, no, but any voter in a storm. Did you see the statistic that those types of violent outbursts occur more when Sarah Palin is present?

I doubt he is proud of them. But I would bet good money that he wouldn’t burn their ballot on election day.

I get the feeling he doesn’t even believe in many of his own policies anymore.

yeah, he should just vote Obama.

More interesting…are they proud of themselves? Note that I do not mean all republicans…just the ones spouting “Arab, terrorist, kill him, off with his head”-type stuff.

I’m glad McCain somewhat defended Obama, but those people are that way because they won’t take the time to understand why Obama would be a better choice. The majority just tells themselves they can’t vote for a black man, or they can’t vote for a Democrat. Issues and benefits don’t seem to matter..

At the rate these volatile en masse outburst are going, it won’t be long before someone yells out the “n-word” or demands a lynching.

But as Augustlan said, it’s not all Republicans…but these are the ones that will make the news.

Ultimately, this is the environment the GOP created…an environment where people of such narrow mind feel comfortable expressing their ignorant views.

I don’t think he cares one way or another. He only said this, (the comments I am referring to are about 5 minutes in) because it was politically expedient. All McCain cares about is winning. Nothing more nothing less. Morals? Ethics? Common decency? Check those at the door, there’s a campaign to be won.

Ditto @supermouse. When I saw the footage of Mc Cain at the townhall rally in Wisconsin (no offense to Wisconsonites), with that guy yelling about how angry he was, Mc Cain’s smug look of “this is going to be great for my campaign” made me ill.

The deep-rooted anger (racism?) that has come out subsequently is disheartening.

I don’t think proud is an issue here; he’ll take any support he can get and continues to promote a campaign that chooses not to improve his proposals but simply disparages his opponent.

Assume you are buying a product and you have narrowed you search down to 2 brands. The salesperson at one store tells you about the benefits of buying that brand while the salesperson at the other store only tells you the “bad” things about the other brand.

Unfortunately the majority of voters vote by brand name: democrat vs republican; liberal vs. conservative…which, in my opinion is a stupid way to vote.

What concerns me most now is the rising tide of voices that are blantly racist, perjorative, and promote a permanent underclass thinly guised as political discourse. That free speech shouldn’t happen if someone doesn’t like what they hear. That speaking against America’s decision’s is antiAmerican. That, ultimately, the constitution includes more than they like.

The far right has gone way beyond their republican core values and are now embracing jingoism and statolatry, both fundamental aspects of facism.
