In any carnation of Romeo and Juliet I’ve seen, at the beginning they show a cat chilling on a roof of a house. What’s with that?

Simone: You are not thinking of the play “Cat on a Hot Tin Roof,” by Tennessee Williams?

If not, are you talking about the carnation, which is a flower, or a production of Romeo and Juliet? I don’t remember any symbolism about cats, myself.
