Will I still be to code if I don't have a vent fan in my bathroom?

I want to change the light in my bathroom (toilet, actually, it's a tiny room separate from the rest of the bathroom) and I realized it's a combo light/exhaust fan. If I take that out in put in my silly little mini-chandelier, will I still be to code?

yes it will still meet code unless your city has some type of exception requiring it. Call zoning in your city to be sure.

I've never had a fan in my bathroom in apartments in Chicago, Oakland, CA, or DC, so I think you'll be OK.

It may be to code but you might meet some mold or mildew that balance the pleasure from your adorable mini-chandelier, never mild the allergy issue. Fan is there for a reason; @peggylou suggest; window that opens would be paramount w/o fan.
